This exquisite Lyon & Healy Special Style 26 Gothic Concert Grand, serial #2868, is a magnificent example of the company’s historic craftsmanship, combining dramatic Gothic Revival design with Renaissance-inspired details.
The harp features a striking hexagonal column and intricately carved base, beautifully hand-gilded with 23-karat gold in multiple finishes, including mirror, matte, and 18-karat lemon gold.
The instrument underwent significant refurbishment in 2019. The regilding was completed in Orlando, while Lyon & Healy performed major structural work, including a new neck and new soundboard/deck. The action was updated, the base frame refurbished, and the body refinished. New strings were installed, and the harp was meticulously regulated.
